MARKETING EVENTS

You know that friend you have, the one who organises the group to attend events?

Event marketing targets that one friend of yours to gather the troupe and buy the tickets. Because, let’s be real, without your organised friend - you would never make it to anything.

Event marketing varies depending on the type of event you are creating and the people you are bringing together. From conferences and large-scale exhibitions to business meetings and training, the marketing platforms changes depending on the target audience.

Marketing styles have evolved over the years to connect with a niche audience, while also continuing with brand awareness through everyday marketing. Finding where your intended audience “lives” and what content they’re looking for is so important, events can no longer just push out marketing without having a strategic plan in place.

Two of Jemma’s current favourite event marketing tools include:

  • High touch engagement – going out into the community and connecting with our audiences face-to-face

  • Social media – particularly Facebook, for all event information
